Since El Colorado opened in 1946, the resort has geared itself as a family friendly ski center. Almost half of the total skiable area is dedicated to beginners and casual skiers. Trails also connect to Valle Nevado and La Parva, giving you over 100 different trails to explore.
El Colorado’s 17 trails reach a maximum altitude is 10,935 feet, with a vertical of 2,962 feet. The center uses a total of 19 lifts, including two for children.
The ski center has a modern building housing a ski shop, 4 schools, lockers, restaurants and a pub.
